March 16th, 2019 by WCBC Radio

On Friday, Cumberland Police responded to a Yale Street residence for a disturbance.

Once officers arrived, they learned that a landlord was trying to execute an illegal eviction and she was advised that she could not just make someone move without a court order. The landlord, identified as Miranda Fitzwater began to throw items out of the residence and yell at officers. She was warned several times but continued to yell and create a disturbance.

Fitzwater was eventually arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. She was issued a criminal citation and released pending trial.
