Farrell Talks About Reversing Board’s Call for Foote’s Removal

December 27th, 2018 by WCBC Radio

A decision last week by the Allegany County Board of Education to request the state to remove Wayne Foote  for willful neglect of duty and misconduct- may be challenged immediately by the new board which is set to take office next Wednesday.  The official resolution, approved by a 4-1 vote Friday, pointed to acts of intimidation and harassment, numerous instances of inappropriate conduct and breaching board confidentiality. On Wednesday afternoon, Foote will be sworn in to a second term, while Debra Frank, Robert Farrell and David Bohn will also take the oath of office.  Tammy Fraley, who was not up for election this year, rounds out the new board.  Both Farrell and Bohn are strong supporters of Foote, having campaigned with, and for him this year- and Farrell tells WCBC News that he plans to see if the new board will have any recourse to reverse the action of last week…
