West Virginia State Police investigated a single-vehicle accident that claimed the life of the driver late Wedneday on state Route 55, three miles outside the Moorefield city limits, according to the Hardy County 911 emergency center. The Cumberalnd Times News reports the mishap was reported to the 911 center at 11:23 p.m., prompting alert of Fraley's Ambulance Service, the Moorefield Volunteer Fire Department, West Virginia Division of Highways and the Hardy County Sheriff's Office. Units were on the scene until about 6 a.m. Thursday
