Early voting for the Keyser city election will continue through Saturday, June 9. The municipal election is Tuesday, June 12, and features one of the larger fields of candidates in recent years.
Those running are:
Mayor: Isaac “Sonny” Alt, Brenda Gank Kitzmiller, Eric Murphy and Damon Tillman.
Council: Glenn “Sonny” Gank, Herman Judy, Jennifer Junkins, William Sekella-Wahl, and William Zacot.
Mark Tranum’s name remains on the ballot, but he withdrew from the race after the deadline to have his name removed.
The candidate chosen as mayor will serve a four-year term, and each of the two candidates selected to serve on the council will also serve for four years.
