Former Board Member Comments on New Allegany Funding Issues

Although bids for the new Allegany High School came in $15 to $20 million higher than projected, former Allegany County School Board member Tim Woodring doesn’t foresee the state walking away from the project. Funding shortfalls represented a hurdle, but not an insurmountable one, when Woodring and his fellow board members were working to construct Mountain Ridge High School in Frostburg. He tells WCBC News that the fact that the funding commitment from the state came during the O’Malley administration, speaks volumes to the state’s belief that a new Allegany is definitely needed:
