Former Governor Talks State Issues on WCBC

August 29th, 2012 by WCBC Radio

There are no shortage of controversial issues that Maryland voters will be asked to decide via referendum questions on the November ballot- and former Maryland governor Robert Ehrlich Jr weighed in on those during a Wednesday appearance on WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show”. Ehrlich, currently in Tampa Bay for the Republican National Convention,  was asked for his predictions on the some of those issues facing Marylanders this fall.  Unlike the more controversial same sex marriage and dream act laws- Ehrlich says how voters will choose to address the newly drawn congressional re-districting map is hard to guage.

Conversely, the former republican governor who championed legalizing slots during his four years at the helm, says he sees an easy victory for expanded gambling in November. He says it was solely partisan politics that kept his slots agenda from getting approval from a democrat controlled House and Senate in Annapolis during his term. As for those speaking Tuesday at the RNC, Ehrlich gave Ann Romney lavish praise, saying she accomplished the goal of shining the spotlight on the person she knows best, her husband Mitt.
