GOP Senate Hopeful Szeliga Responds To Attack On Nice

July 15th, 2016 by WCBC Radio

Below is Kathy Szeliga's response to yesterday's terrorist attack in Nice, France.

"Mark and I join people from across Maryland and throughout the United States to express our profound sorrow at the unthinkable loss of life last night in Nice. And we continue to send our thoughts and prayers to those who were injured and the family and friends of the victims.

"We are facing an enemy on an untraditional battlefield. They are bringing their war to our shopping centers, our neighborhoods, and our backyards. As our enemy evolves, we too must evolve.

"In horrific times like this, I console myself with the words of Christ at the Sermon on the Mount when He said, 'Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.' As we wake up today and face yet another mass murder, I know we are all seeking answers we may never get. But at least we are given comfort from the Lord."
