Gov. Hogan Calling For More Federal Resources In Opioid Epidemic Fight

Governor Larry Hogan is calling for more federal resources to help fight the opioid epidemic. Hogan said Maryland has spent nearly $1 billion in state and federal funding to combat opioid and substance use disorders, and it's not enough. Hogan said all levels of government need to work. He said fentanyl is killing people in Maryland every day and the federal government can help get the dangerous drug off the streets. Hogan called on federal lawmakers to step up, and partner with states to stop the heroin and opioid crisis.
