Gov. Hogan Says Restoring Highway User Revenues For Local Governments Remains A Top Priority

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan campaigned on restoring highway user revenues for local governments and continues to make that pledge.  Highway User Revenues are gas and motor vehicle fees collected and shared among the state, counties and cities. Counties and cities use this money for road maintenance, repair and construction. Local shares of this funding took a major hit after the 2008 recession. Addressing county representatives from across the state at the MACO Conference in Ocean City, Hogan says restoring those funds for local road and bridge projects remains a top priority…
