Companies offering plans under the Maryland Health Exchange and the Affordable Care Act are proposing large increases in rates to the state insurance commission.
United Healthcare is dropping out of the exchange, but will still offer small business plans.
Other providers are looking for rate hikes of 8 to 30 percent.
