Highway User Fund Restoration Remains Point Of Frustration For Governor

What seemed to be a year to start the restoration of local highway user revenues, turned into the status quo for fiscal 2017.  With the backing of Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, two house bills were introduced this year to work toward restoring those funds for local road and bridge projects- and while both bills received hearings- no further action was taken.  Governor Hogan has placed the blame for the lack of action on restoring the funds on the democrat leadership in Annapolis- even though there is broad support among Marylander’s for the program. It remains a point of frustration for the governor…
