Hogan Calls Lack of Income Tax Cut ‘Frustrating and Disappointing’

Governor Larry Hogan called the lack of an income tax cut "frustrating and disappointing," noting Speaker Mike Busch and Senate President Miller "dropped the ball on the issue." The House and Senate had passed separate income tax cut bills.  Both had expanded the Earned Income Tax Credit for low income people, but the Senate bill included tax cuts for those earning more than $100,000 a year. On Monday afternoon, there were efforts to link a worker sick leave bill to the tax cut bill, but Senate President Mike Miller told reporters that the governor probably would have vetoed that measure. Miller suggested a one day special session to address both issues, but Governor Hogan said he didn't think that was a good idea…
