Officers learned that Monrose had previously stayed with the victim, but had since been expelled from the residence and told not to return.  Officers also learned that prior to them arriving on the scene, Monrose entered the residence without permission and assaulted the victim. The victim was then able to get Monrose out of the residence, but he then stood out front kicking the victims door.

While conducting the investigation in to the incident, Monrose continued to create a disturbance outside the residence despite being warned by officers to stop.   At this time Monrose was arrested for assault 2nd degree, 4th degree burglary, and obstructing and hindering.

Monrose was then taken to the Cumberland Police Department for processing and later transported to the District Court for his Initial Appearance. At the conclusion of his Initial Appearance he was released on his own recognizance.

As this is at least his second recent local crime, I suspect he will be listed as “of Cumberland” next time. Embrace Change!
