LaVale man made threats to judge

A LaVale man was jailed without bond Tuesday following his arrest for allegedly making threats against an Allegany County judge, according to the C3I Unit. Christopher John Idol, 40, was charged with two counts of solicitation to first-degree murder and one count of threatening a state official. Idol remained jailed without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center following his arrest Tuesday. The investigation included a search of Idol's LaVale residence. 

Police said investigators were notified of numerous Facebook posts allegedly made by Idol referencing threats to the unidentified judge, as well as soliciting to kill other individuals.

The arrest was made without incident when police searched Idol's residence.

The investigation is continuing by the Allegany County Sheriff's Office and the C3I Unit.
