Baltimore County police say a pellet gun was found at Loch Raven High School on Thursday and a student is in custody. The school was placed on lockdown Thursday afternoon while police searched the building following a report that a student brought a gun to school in a backpack. The lockdown has since been lifted and police say no injuries were reported.
Police say charges are pending against the student, who has not been publicly identified.
A school resource officer received a tip Thursday morning that a student was concealing a gun in a backpack, county police said. The officer then lost sight of the student and the school was placed on lockdown.
