Maryland Democrats bash Hogan’s “non position” on Trump

June 10th, 2016 by WCBC Radio

On Thursday, Governor Larry Hogan refused to say whether he thinks Donald Trump is fit to serve as president, days after House Speaker Paul Ryan and other Republicans denounced Trump's "textbook" racism. Maryland Democratic Party Executive Director Chuck Conner issued this statement:

“Governor Hogan claims to despise national politics, but his disdain didn’t stop him from campaigning for Chris Christie’s presidential run in New Hampshire. Hogan seems to be direct on a range of issues when it suits him. But when it comes to Trump and the mounting evidence showing the GOP’s nominee would be a disaster for Maryland and America, Hogan’s unwillingness to take a stand against Trump sends a startling message: He’s willing to put the future of our country at risk just to put a Republican in the White House.”
