McKinley Responds to Cox Statement

On Tuesday School Superintendent David Cox read a statement into the record during a public work session responding to comments made by a panelist at a recent WCBC forum.  During the June 4th forum, panelist George “Mac” McKinley, when asking a question about how each candidate would rate the performance of the superintendent, prefaced the question by referencing a 2009 case involving a Mountain Ridge teacher’s inappropriate relationship with a student. Cox says whether it was intentional or not, the suggestion from McKinley is that Cox bears responsibility for the incident. He noted however that he was not employed in Allegany County at the time it occurred. On Wednesday morning McKinley, on WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show” responded to the Cox statement…
