With just three weeks left in this session of the Maryland General Assembly lawmakers continue to hold hearings on a number of bills to address the growing heroin/opioid epidemic. One of those bills would limit doctors from giving patients no more than a seven day supply of opioids in a prescription, though cancer patients and those in hospice care would be exempt.
