Mineral County residents last week ousted longtime county commissioner Cindy Pyles- selecting republican Jerry Whisner by a 59-41 margin.  Whisner upset the incumbent garnering 6,310 votes to Pyles’ 4,372.  Pyles, a democrat who was first elected in 2000, told WCBC news that she believes it was a matter of being in the wrong party at the wrong time.

Wrong party at the wrong time”? That’s a hoot. Pyles got ousted for one simple reason, and that was for the rampant cronyism that existed in her administration(If you weren’t her friend you were her enemy)….had nothing to do with “party affiliation”! But if that thought helps her sleep at night so be it…she’s gonna need the rest as the lines are long at the unemployment office.
