Allegany College of Maryland and the American Job Center will partner to sponsor the largest local multiple-employer Job Fair of the year on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. until noon. The event will be held in the Allegany College Gymnasium at 12401 Willowbrook Road, in Cumberland. The Job Fair is open to the public and is free to attend. Free parking is available on campus in the parking lot adjacent to the gymnasium.
Fifty businesses will participate with the hope of filling 500 full and part-time positions available in a variety of fields, including customer service, healthcare, production, warehousing, public safety and information technology. Job seekers should be professionally dressed and have copies of their resumes in hand. Many employers will also conduct interviews on-site.
The American Job Center of Allegany County is located at 138 Baltimore Street in Cumberland and is open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Staff are available on site to assist job seekers with creation of resumes, writing cover letters, completing applications and viewing the more than 500 currently posted positions within Allegany County using the Maryland Workforce Exchange website.
