Motion Hearings This Week For Officers Charged In Death Of Freddie Gray

Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Barry Williams has scheduled two days of motions hearings this week in the trials of the six police officers charged in the death of Freddie Gray. While the judge's order does not list which specific motions he will consider, the judge has called all sides into the courtroom on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Meanwhile, Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake spoke recently  at the National Press Club in Washington- and she says policing and community relations require "constant relationship-building work."   Rawlings-Blake says the April unrest in Baltimore after Freddie Gray's death in police custody showed the city was not as prepared as it should have been- but as a result,  the city has made improvements in communication, training and equipment to address the problems…
