MPSSA Says Helmet Problem Not A State Wide Issue

Although there were reports of at least six incidents of helmets coming off during plays at the recent Allegany-Fort Hill homecoming game- the executive director of the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association tells WCBC News that it is apparently not a problem state wide. On Friday night Fort Hill’s quarterback was knocked out of the playoff game against Northern after losing his helmet and getting struck in the head. Despite this series of incidents locally, Andrew Warner says the state agency has not been made aware of any growing helmet issue…
