North Branch Correctional Institution warden was fired Monday and banned from the prison where he has held the post since 2009. According to the Cumberland Times-News, two officials from the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services came into his office at approximately 10 a.m. and handed him a letter of termination. Recently, the prison has been home to numerous assaults by inmates upon correctional officers.
