New Bids for Allegany School Construction Will be Opened Today

February 24th, 2016 by WCBC Radio

Today is the day of reckoning for the Allegany County Board of Education- at least when it comes to plans to construct a new Allegany High School. The second round of a bidding process that began last summer culminates this afternoon when bids are opened and the cost figures are announced publicly. The first bid ended in disaster for the board when they were opened in early September as the bids exceeded the estimated budget by about $20 million dollars.
