Officials say the area's opioid epidemic is behind the growing number of child abuse cases in Allegany County. Christine Ujcic, coordinator of the Allegany County Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect, provided an overview of the numbers during a budget presentation before the Allegany County Commissioners.
