On Sunday morning, 03/12/2017, at 10:13 am, the Cumberland Police responded to a private residence in the 1900 block of Frederick Street for a reported gunshot victim. Personnel with the Cumberland Fire Department ambulance were also on the scene.

When Officers arrived they found two subjects lying in a bed in one of the bedrooms. The female was deceased and the male was unresponsive, but still breathing. The victims were husband and wife, and have been identified as 76 year old Sheila Joyce Frech and 78 year old Clarence Julius Frech Jr.

A search warrant for the residence was obtained and the scene was processed by members of the Maryland State Police Forensic Sciences Division.
