Opening Day for Six Flags America

March 25th, 2016 by WCBC Radio

Today's opening day at Six Flags America, and park-goers will have plenty of new rides and attractions to check out this season.

The Bourbon Street Fireball is a circular ride that loops riders around and around while also dangling them seven stories in the air and upside down.  New to the Hurricane Harbor water park is Splashwater Falls, a multi-level structure where kids can climb ladders, slip down slides, and dump fountains of water on visitors.

The most anticipated addition is coming later this summer.  The Superman: Ride of Steel attraction will be one of a handful of roller coasters around the country that features virtual reality headsets.  It'll sync up with the ride, giving the illusion of Superman flying over Metropolis.
