Over 50 Local Residents Victimized By ATM Scam

Over 50 local residents have filed reports with Cumberland Police in the past couple of days regarding the fraudulent use of their debit and credit cards at several ATM machines in the area.

Lieutenant Jim Burt tells WCBC News that the suspects are altering the machines to record and collect personal information, and then making withdrawals soon afterward…

Detectives from C3I are continuing to take statements from victims.

    Why haven’t the authorities told the public which ATM’s are involved? There is certainly no shortage of available machines and steering everyone away from compromised ATM’s should be a priority.
