Ask any small business, and chances are good that you'll hear that times are tough, and making it day to day in our economy is a real challenge.
On Friday, WCBC received a tip that Geatz's Restaurant, located on Paca Street, and tracing its beginnings to the 19th Century, was just about to close its doors. We reached out, but were unable to get official confirmation.
That said, we've heard from several sources that the rumors are, indeed, true. Friday night's last call was, last call.
Details of the demise will be left for another day, but it appears we have reached the end of an era.
