Baltimore County Police Officer Amy Caprio was laid to rest Friday after a funeral attended by officers from across the mid-Atlantic. WBAL reports Caprio died Monday shortly after she was run over by a Jeep allegedly driven by a Baltimore teen. She was responding to a call for a suspicious vehicle and arrived to find what police said was a burglary in progress. Four teens have since been charged as adults with her murder.
Caprio's funeral was held Friday at Mountain Christian Church in Joppa. The procession began just before noon and drivers along the route from there to Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens in Timonium are being told to expect road closures and delays.
