Police Charge Man for Public Drinking

At approximately 12:30 p.m. Friday, a patrolling Cumberland Police Officer was traveling on Henderson Avenue at Baltimore Street when the officer observed a male subject throw a bottle filled with liquid at a CSX coal train which was passing through the area.  This subject was also holding an open alcoholic beverage while out in the public.  The subject, Wesley Eugene Baker 2nd was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters.  Baker was taken to District Court and held on $3,500.00 at the Allegany County Detention Center.

Arrested:

Wesley Eugene Baker 2nd – age 35 – Cumberland, MD

Charges:

Littering, civil citation issued for consuming an alcoholic beverage in a public place.
