City Man Facing Numerous Charges

On 1/6/16 at approx. 2041hrs officers from the Cumberland Police Department were dispatched to a Park Street business for an intoxicated subject refusing to leave the business.  Officers arrived and located the intoxicated subject in the parking lot.  Officers asked the subject for identification and he began to yell obscenities at officers causing customers to stop due to the disturbance being caused.  Officers obtained the subject’s information but he continued to yell and cause a disturbance.  Staff informed the subject that he needed to leave the property but he refused continued to yell even after numerous warnings but officers.  At this point David Leo Cassady was taken into custody.  While being transported to Police Headquarters Cassady continued to be argument and refused to cooperate with officers.  At police headquarters Cassady refused to cooperate with the process and attempt to resist the efforts of officers to complete the necessary procedures.  Cassady was eventually processed and taken before the District Court Commissioner.  At District Court Cassady was released pending his trial which will be held at a later date.

Charges: Trespassing, Disorderly Conduct, Fail to Obey, and Disturbance of Peace

 

 

On 1/6/16 at approx. 2310hrs officers from the Cumberland Police Department was dispatched to the 300 block of Decatur Street for a report of a disturbance.  Officers arrived and found that an assault occurred prior to their arrival.  Officers began to speak with subjects in reference to the assault.  While officers were with the subjects involved in the assault another subject began to interfere with the officers.  The subject began to yell causing another disturbance and stepped in front of officers.  The officers instructed the subject numerous times to lower his voice and leave the area.  The subject refused and stepped closer to the officers yelling.  This officer now had to stop his investigation and deal with the problem beginning caused by this subject.  After several warnings the subject refused to cooperate and listen to officers.  Officers elected to place Issac Christopher Kneisley under arrest.  Kneisley attempted to resist pulling away from officers.  After a short struggle Kneisley was taken into custody and transported to Police Headquarters for processing.  Kneisley was later taken before the District Court Commissioner where he was released pending trial.
