Police serve two Cumberland residents

WARRANT SERVICE

On Wednesday February 3, 2016, Cumberland City Police served a bench warrant on Celesta Harris, age 33 of Cumberland, Maryland.  The warrant was issued as a result of Harris failing to appear for trial on January 26, 2016 for a previous Theft arrest.  Harris was processed, served and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for a bond hearing.  Harris was released on her personal recognizance.

CHARGE:  Bench Warrant: Fail to Appear.

 

SUMMONS SERVICE

On Wednesday February 3, 2016, Cumberland City Police served a criminal summons on Jeremy Shields, age 31 of Cumberland, Maryland.  The summons was issued as a result of a disturbance incident that occurred on January 30, 2016 in the 500 block of North Mechanic Street. Investigation into this matter revealed that Shields was out in the street causing a disturbance by yelling and acting in a disorderly manner.  Shields was served and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

CHARGE:  Disorderly Conduct.
