Criminal Summons    

The Cumberland Police Department served a Criminal Summons on Corey Lee House, age 26, of Friendsville, MD.  He was charged with second degree assault for an incident that occurred on August 1st, 2015 where the victim was assaulted at a residence on Hill St, Cumberland MD.  The male victim reported this incident at Police Headquarters on August 2nd, 2015.  The victim told police that an argument ensued over House allegedly stealing money from the victim.  The victim stated that House used a tree branch to strike him in the back of the head.  No injuries were reported as a result of this assault.

Attempted Fourth Degree Burglary

On August 10th 2015 The Cumberland Police Department responded to the 500 block of Columbia Ave for a report of an attempted burglary and destruction of property.  This incident lead to the arrest of Nicky Lee Linn, age 49, of Cumberland, MD.  He was charged with Attempted Fourth Degree Burglary, and Malicious Destruction of Property having a Value of Less than $1000.  When Police arrived on scene the female victim advised that Linn had ripped the plastic window on her storm door and reached into the residence in an attempt to unlock the door.  This activity was observed by multiple witnesses which lead to Linn’s arrest.  He was transported to Cumberland Police Headquarters, where he was processed, served with his charges and taken before the District Court Commissioner.  Linn was held on a $5000 bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
