Cumberland Police Make Burglary Arrests, Serve Warrants

Burglary Arrest

On 11/17/15 during the early morning hours Cumberland police officers responded to the N. Centre Street area for a suspicious male subject.  Officers briefly observed a male subject matching the dispatched description.  Officers began to patrol the area on foot where the subject was last seen.  They located an open, unsecured door at the rear of a two adjacent businesses located in the 100 block of N. Mechanic Street.  The officers entered the building through the unsecured door and located the same subject hiding inside.  The subject was identified as Benayah Ruben Del Toro, 20 Y/O and placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Cumberland police department where he was charged with the following:

4th Degree Burglary – 2 counts

 

Del Toro was processed for the above listed charges and taken to the Allegany County District Court for a preliminary hearing before a court commissioner.  He was then transported to the Allegany County Detention Center where he was held on a $3,000.00 bond.

 

Warrant Arrest

On 11/17/15 a Cumberland police officer arrested John Harrison Spiker, 39 Y/O on an outstanding parole retake warrant.  Spiker was processed at the Cumberland police department and then transported to the Western Correctional Institution to await a hearing with the Maryland Parole Commission.

 

 

Warrant Arrest

On 11/17/15 a Cumberland police officer arrested Jeremy Allen Yetter, 29 Y/O on an outstanding arrest warrant.  Yetter was transported to the Cumberland police department for the following warrant and charges:

Burglary 1st Degree – one count

Fraud Personal Identity Information Theft – 2 counts

Theft less than $1,000.00 in Value

 

Yetter was processed for the above listed charges and taken to the Allegany County District Court for a preliminary hearing before a court commissioner.

He was then transported to the Allegany County Detention Center where he was held without bond.

 

Warrant Arrest

On 11/17/15 a Cumberland police officer arrested Christopher Scott Cook, 19 Y/O on an outstanding arrest warrant.  Cook was transported to the Cumberland police department for the following warrant and charges:

Burglary 1st Degree – one count

Burglary 3rd Degree – one count

Theft $1,000 to $10,000 in value

Assault 2nd Degree

Cook was processed for the above listed charges and taken to the Allegany County District Court for a preliminary hearing before a court commissioner.

He was then transported to the Allegany County Detention Center where he was held on a $15,000.00 bond
