On Sunday, June 7th, 2020 the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Vanessa Lynn Becker for CDS paraphernalia and controlled paraphernalia. The summons was issued by District Court in reference to an incident back on May 15th, 2020 when an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of Bedford Street and N. Centre Street. A K-9 officer assisted with the stop which lead to a search of the vehicle after a positive alert. Subsequently, Becker was found to be in possession of the CDS paraphernalia. She signed and received copies of the charging documents and was released pending trial.
