Polk Street Drug Operation Busted

CDS ARRESTS

A CDS investigation initiated by the patrol division of the Cumberland City Police Department resulted in five arrests.  On Tuesday October 6, 2015, Cumberland City Police Officers executed a search and seizure warrant at a private residence in the 100 block of Polk Street.  Entry was made at 10:42 am by members of the Cumberland Emergency Response Team (CERT).   As entry was made, secondary officers observed baggies of what was later identified as CDS being thrown out an upstairs window.  A search of the residence was conducted and large quantities of individually wrapped baggies of Heroin and Crack Cocaine were recovered.  Numerous paraphernalia items were found used to smoke CDS and hypodermic syringes used to inject CDS into the human body.  There was nearly $3,000.00 dollars in currency seized.  The five individuals were transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing.  They were later taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for bond hearings.  C3I Narcotics and C3I Investigations assisted with the investigation.

ARRESTED:  Tyron McCormick, age 23.  Baltimore, Maryland.

CHARGES:   Possession with intent to distribute Crack Cocaine, Conspiracy to Distribute Crack Cocaine, Possession of Heroin, Conspiracy to Distribute Heroin, Possession of Controlled Paraphernalia, Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Heroin.  McCormick was held on a $50,000.00 bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

ARRESTED:  Thomas Kennedy, age 23.  York, Pennsylvania.

CHARGES:   Possession with intent to distribute Crack Cocaine, Conspiracy to Distribute Crack Cocaine, Possession of Heroin, Conspiracy to Distribute Heroin, Possession of Controlled Paraphernalia, Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Heroin.  Kennedy was also found to have an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to appear for sentencing on September 8, 2015 for a prior CDS arrest.  Kennedy was held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
 

ARRESTED:  Antonio Henderson-Gill, age 21.  Baltimore, Maryland.

CHARGES:   Possession with intent to distribute Crack Cocaine, Conspiracy to Distribute Crack Cocaine, Possession of Heroin, Conspiracy to Distribute Heroin, Possession of Controlled Paraphernalia, Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Heroin.  Henderson-Gil was held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

 

ARRESTED:  Jeremiah Peterson, age 40.  Cumberland, Maryland.

CHARGES:  Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Controlled Paraphernalia.  Peterson was released on his personal recognizance pending trial.

ARRESTED: Ashley Dougherty, age 29.  Westernport, Maryland.

CHARGES:  Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Controlled Paraphernalia.  Dougherty was held on a $3,000.00 dollar bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
