There have been any number of missed “start-up” dates in the past few years when it comes to plans for a brewery to open as the anchor first floor business operation at the Footer Dye Works building- but the hope now is that there is finally light at the end of the tunnel. Representatives from The Dig Deep Brewery are now shooting to open just before Thanksgiving- however after a few false starts owner Robert Dettinburn is understandably cautious in announcing a firm date of any grand opening. There have been some delays over the summer and Dettiburn says a lack of access to the building has been part of the problem- but it appears those issues have now been resolved. Dee Ritchie, Canal Place executive director, during this month’s regular meeting said Footer developer Michael Joy is pleased with the progress….
