At approximately 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, several areas of Cumberland and parts of Carpendale and Wiley Ford reported a power outage. Eyewitness reports point to the power station near Canal Parkway as the source of the issue. Downtown Cumberland, South Cumberland, and the East Side of Cumberland all reported heavy outages. Power was restored at approximately 4:30 a.m. At WCBC Radio, thanks to the work of Chris Myers, Paul Mullan, and Matt Vitak from Allegany Computer, power was able to be restored and networks were rebooted to get programming back on-air.
