Bishop Walsh School Principal Ann Workmeister announced today the appointment of Dr. Raymond Kiddy as the new athletic director for the Cumberland Catholic School, effective immediately.
Kiddy is currently the assistant principal at Allegany High School. His appointment at BW will be in a part-time status until his retirement from the Allegany County Public School System at the end of this school year.
“We are so pleased to have someone with Dr. Kiddy’s expertise and strong reputation join our team here at Walsh,” said Principal Workmeister. “Ray began his teaching and coaching careers with the Spartans. We’re honored that he is returning to our school.”
Kiddy brings with him over 35 years of experience as an administrator, educator and coach. In addition to Bishop Walsh, he has served as a coach at the high school and collegiate levels at Allegany, Beall, Fort Hill and Mount Savage, as well as Allegany College of Maryland, Catonsville Community College, Frostburg State University and the College of Notre Dame. He is currently the head soccer coach at Potomac State College and will continue in that position.
