In reaction to comments circulating in social media forums, the Allegany County Public School system has issued the following statement:
In an effort to publish accurate information on the ACPS page, we must state that contrary to rumors being spread, no students were arrested nor handcuffed and there was no gun at Allegany High School. Additionally, the student in question is not in school and the situation is being addressed in accordance with the school system's policy on discipline.
