Sen. Cardin Discusses Bipartisan Bill On Border Security

Senate Republicans on Thursday were confident that President Trump will sign the bipartisan bill on border security to keep the federal government fully up and running.  Congress taking action on the bipartisan accord to prevent another partial federal shutdown ahead of Friday’s deadline. The package funds several departments but does not provide the $5.7 billion Trump was demanding for his long-promised wall with Mexico. Instead, it includes almost $1.4 billion for new fences and barriers identical to the ones already in place.
