On June 6th, 2016 at approximately 1615 hours, Troopers from the Maryland State Police Cumberland Barracks responded to West Bound I68 at the 64 MM, prior to MV Smith Rd for a report of a single vehicle accident, a tractor trailer laying on its passenger side against the slow lane shoulder guardrail. The vehicle also had leaked diesel fuel from a ruptured fuel tank. The tractor truck driver, Denver Bennett was issued a citations for negligent driving.
SHA assisted with a temporary road closure while the vehicle was removed. Allegany County Hazmat Team, Flintstone Ambulance and Fire crews responded to the scene to assist.
