A FirstEnergy spokesman reports they are working on the larger outages, but are finding wires and poles broken due to falling trees.
“The high winds also create a hazard for our linemen due to falling trees and the ability to safely run the bucket trucks,” the FirstEnergy spokesman continued. “The winds are making travel both hazardous and difficult as well.”
FirstEnergy personnel will be working through the night “but we expect that the progress will be slow due to the hazardous conditions,” the spokesman added.
