On Saturday, Cumberland Police responded to an Avirett Avenue address for a reported assault.

Upon officers arrival they spoke with a victim who advised them that Stephanie Lynn Hupp had struck them in the face with a closed fist. Officers spoke with a witness who stated that they had observed Hupp to assault the victim as well. Officers were able to observe and gather evidence that corroborated the statements of an assault occurring, and Stephanie Hupp was placed under arrest for assault second degree. Hupp was then taken before a District Court Commissioner where she was held without bond.

While still in custody officers also served a criminal summons on Hupp for assault second degree, where she signed for her paperwork and awaits her trial

Arrest: Stephanie Lynn Hupp, age 44, Cumberland Maryland.

Charges: Assault Second Degree.
