West Virginia has made a settlement with Monsanto Company, Solutia Inc. and Pharmacia LLC in order to resolve claims made against them involving PCB contamination into the state’s water and natural resources.  Attorney General JB McCuskey told WOWK-TV some of the funds could go toward cancer research. “They will have access to spend it in the same way they spend any other general revenue monies.  So, we can make recommendations, the settlement agreement can make recommendations, but this will be between $25 and $60 million that the legislature will have access to to solve a myriad of problems.”
