WCBC spoke recently with Andrea Roberts, founder of A Mother’s Rest, a retreat house for full-time caregivers of special needs children. The location provides a long weekend respite at a minimal charge. An open house at the New Market, Maryland location starts this Sunday at 11am for visitors according to Roberts…

   

“The community can come in and see what the environment is all about.  We will also have some of our moms and guests there for questions and share their experience and testimonies about how valuable this respite inn is for their health.”

Roberts added they will be launching their annual Legacy Giving Campaign during the open house as well…

  

“We are opening up five sponsorships for each room at a donation of $2,500, and if we’re able to fill all of those spaces, then we’ll be able to open up our 2027 retreats at no charge.”
