Triple-A Mid Atlantic is projecting nearly 82 million Americans will hit the road for Thanksgiving travel this year. This year’s domestic travel is expected to hit a new record with travel numbers that have been showing increases since 2020’s pandemic. Amy Diaz with AAA says about 1.6 million more people are deciding to travel this year for the holiday…
“We typically see between five and six million people traveling by air over Thanksgiving, but this is on the high end of that. So at least 73 million will be on the roads this Thanksgiving. And that number could end up being higher if last minute decided ‘I don’t want to fly. I want to avoid airports,’ and I’m going to switch to a roadtrip.”
