West Virginia Funds Statewide Crime Victim Programs

Governor Patrick Morrisey announced that he has awarded $16.3 million dollars in West Virginia Victims of Crime Act grants to 83 projects across the state. At a press conference in Parkersburg, the governor said the funds would support assistance to victims as they move through the criminal justice system to make sure they have access to the help they need…

   

“Money for counseling, money for forensic interviews, money for crisis intervention, for legal advocacy, emergency shelter, transportation. And ongoing support for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse and many other violent crimes.”
