The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 144 has taken issue with remarks made by a candidate for Allegany County Sheriff.  In a statement released by the FOP, members called into question a social media post by candidate Rich Godlove where he says he will  - quote – “build a department that finally operates with transparency and professionalism.” FOP President Christopher Hill told WCBC that county deputies have concerns with implications from the statement…

   

“The key word there – the problem for us is ‘finally.”  I can’t let him call us unprofessional. It’s ridiculous. We already have enough battle from the public and from the state legislature to have a candidate that wants to be our boss refer to us as unprofessional.”
